Reports out of Athens following the weekly press luncheon indicate that the investigation surrounding wide receiver A. J. Green is concerning the sale of an autographed jersey.
The jersey was allegedly sold for $1,000 and reports are that A. J. has repaid the money.
The NCAA was to inform the university today of any further sanctions or punishment that Green must serve before becoming eligible to play this season. Initial word was that sitting out last weeks game may be the extent of any disciplinary action and A. J. will be cleared to play in Saturday’s game against South Carolina.
Official notification to the media may come as early as this evening or first thing tomorrow morning.
