Friday Notes – Appeal Denied

FOOTBALL

DSC_0529 The Division I NCAA Committee on Student-Athlete Reinstatement has denied an appeal by UGA.

All American receiver A. J. Green will be required to serve the full four game suspension for selling his bowl jersey (shown on right) before being reinstated.

Green will be eligible to return against Colorado in two weeks.

Red Cross Report

Justin Anderson’s toe injury will likely keep him off the field this week.

Branden Smith suffered concussion-like symptoms after being knocked out of bounds by Alec Ogletree during Tuesday’s practice, he may be a game time decision on playing this week.

DSC_0130Fullback Shaun Chapas did not practice Wednesday due to a sprained ankle that he suffered in Columbia, he is doubtful for this week.

Fred Munzenmaier (#48) will start at fullback.

Tailback Caleb King is expected to play but he is still recovering from an ankle sprain and is not 100%, he may see very limited action if he does play.

Linebacker Christian Robinson suffered a knee contusion and was limited in practice this week, defensive end Brandon Wood has tendonitis but both are expected to play.

Idaho State returned part of their ticket allotment this week, they are on sale through the ticket office. (706-542-1231 or 877-542-1231)

The 1980 National Championship team will be recognized at the game on November 6th.
