Idaho State Kickoff Set

FOOTBALL

WSB TV Atlanta will televise the Nov. 6 Georgia-Idaho State game in Athens. Kickoff is set for 12:30 p.m.

The game is being televised under guidelines which allow each Southeastern Conference school to produce one game per year outside the conference CBS and ESPN contracts.

WSB TV is the number one rated station in Atlanta and has a coverage area that includes the 53 county Atlanta TV market as well as cable systems in Albany, Macon, Savannah, Columbus, Chattanooga, Greenville and Tallahassee.

The game is also available on both DirecTV and DISH to subscribers who receive WSB TV.

"This free-of-charge broadcast is a way to give back to our fans throughout the state," said UGA Director of Athletics Greg McGarity.  "We believe making the game available on WSB TV and its coverage area is a way to show our appreciation to Dawgs around our state."

“We are very proud of our station’s pledge to cover local sports here in our home state of Georgia,” said Bill Hoffman, VP & General Mgr, WSB-TV Channel 2. “There is a great sense of excitement and tradition that surrounds amateur sports here. We are the Official Home of University of Georgia Sports and that is a badge of honor for us.  To have a football game available for us to locally produce is a dream come true.  We can’t wait to bring our viewers around Georgia all the action versus Idaho State.”
