Tuesday Practice Report

FOOTBALL

The No. 5 Dawgs practiced in full pads for just under two and a half hours on Tuesday as they continued to prepare for this Saturday's matchup with No. 6 South Carolina in Columbia.

"I thought was a great day," coach Mark Richt said. "The scout teamers got after it. It was really good weather. I thought the energy level was high. It was just a great day of practice."

The Dawgs and the Gamecocks have traditionally met early in the season since South Carolina joined the Southeastern Conference in 1992; however, both teams enter Saturday with identical 5-0 overall and 3-0 league records.

The Dawgs' daily injury update again featured only two players held out of action – running back Brandon Harton (thumb) and tight end Cole Trolinger (concussion).

Saturday's game will be televised nationally on ESPN with kick off slated for approximately 7:00 p.m. ESPN's GameDay also will air from Columbia on Saturday.
