Dawgs Land Number One Rated Safety

Football

June has been a great month for Coach Mark Richt and his staff, the latest addition to the class of 2010, Newnan's Alec Ogletree (6-3, 210) is rated the number one safety in the county by Rivals.com and has already been compared to former Dawg great Thomas Davis.

Ogletree joins wide receiver Da'Rick Rogers of Calhoun, GA, defensive end Jalen Fields of Dalton, GA and offensive tackle Brent Benedict of Jacksonville, FL as the highest rated members to date.

The Dawgs have raided the state of Florida for a total of six recruits thus far and are not finished with at least two or three more on the radar. This class will be smaller than the twenty five allowed by the NCAA due to the number of available scholarships and there may only be room for five or six more with eleven already committed to play between the hedges.
