Michael Bennett To Miss Remainder Of Season

Georgia redshirt sophomore wide receiver Michael Bennett of Alpharetta has been diagnosed with a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee according to coach Mark Richt.

Bennett suffered the injury toward the end of Tuesday’s practice.

He will undergo reconstructive surgery on a yet to be determined date and will miss the remainder of the season according to Director of Sports Medicine Ron Courson.

Bennett is currently the team’s leading receiver with 24 catches for 345 yards and four touchdowns.
