The No. 7-ranked Dawgs (2-0, 1-0 SEC) practiced for approximately two and a half hours in full pads on Tuesday afternoon in preparation for this Saturday's game with Florida Atlantic (1-1, 0-1 Sun Belt) at Sanford Stadium.
"It was a fairly typical Tuesday," coach Mark Richt said. "The scout teamers are still trying to figure some things out but we're getting there."
Captains for Saturday's game were released Tuesday, with receiver Marlon Brown, defensive lineman John Jenkins, linebacker Jarvis Jones and running back Richard Samuel getting the nod.
"The coaches vote each week," Richt said. "Those four guys did an outstanding job for us last Saturday and deserve to represent their team this week."
Tickets Saturday's game are on sale to the general public and can be purchased online at http://gado.gs/4a or by calling the UGA Athletic Association ticket office at 1-877-542-1231. Prior to kickoff, interim mascot "Russ" will officially assume the title as "Uga IX" during ceremonies with approximately 11 minutes remaining on the pre-game clock. Kickoff will be 7:35 p.m. ET, and the game will be televised live regionally on CSS and also available via ESPN GamePlan and watchespn.com.
