The Georgia football team began preparations for its second conference game of the season with a 90-minute workout on the Woodruff Practice Fields.
The No. 5 Dawgs are off to a 3-0 start, including a 1-0 mark in the SEC. On Saturday, the Dawgs will entertain Vanderbilt in a 7:45 p.m. contest at Sanford Stadium. The game will be televised by ESPN2.
"I think practice went well today," center David Andrews said. "We corrected our mistakes from the last game and started getting ready for this game by putting in the new stuff. It was good to work some of the soreness out and start getting ready for this week. … I think our offense is coming together and getting better and better. Anyone who has watched our games has seen improvement from week to week."
"Last week, we had a bunch of guys who played well," coach Mark Richt said. "I was proud of how the offense started and finished. Defensively, we got off to a little bit of a slow start, but we got it together. So we're getting there. … We've got to keep practicing well and creating good habits and focusing on our fundamentals."
Monday's injury report included: tackle Watts Dantzler (ankle sprain, limited, no contact), linebacker Josh Dawson (shoulder sprain, limited, no contact), linebacker Jarvis Jones (groin strain, limited), guard Dallas Lee (ankle sprain, limited, no contact), snapper Nathan Theus (shoulder sprain, limited, no contact), linebacker Cornelius Washington (hamstring strain, limited) and receiver Rantavious Wooten (knee contusion, limited).
