UGA athletic director Damon Evans was arrested last night in Buckhead. Evans was stopped by a Georgia State Trooper and charged with DUI and driving in an improper lane, an unidentified passenger was also arrested. Evans was released from jail at 10:20 this morning.
The university will release a statement later this afternoon.
